Bode Supports 1000 tonnes!

F. Bode & Sons Ltd have received an order following an international tender for a set of 1000 tonne conventional rotators.
Customer is DWE (Deggendorfer Werft und Eisenbau) based in Deggendorf, Germany. They are part of the MAN group of companies.
The machine ordered is a Bode CR 20,000 with anti creep system, steel wheels, and AC inverter drives.
The machine will be commissioned in August 2003, and will be used in the manufacture of reactors for the chemical industry.
Windmill Automation Equipment in Czechoslovakia

Bode has recently commissioned production/automation equipment to a windmill tower manufacturer in Czechoslovakia.
The contract included manufacturing and installation of several Bode RC 6.5m x 4.5m heavy duty column and booms, including twin head Sub Merged Arc Welding equipment. There were also Kislter manufactured T/BR (manually traversing conventional rotators)supporitng upto 40 tonnes. Among other things, a revised design of a T/1BX 12m (12 metre fixed length internal boom), with SAW equipment for welding the windmill towers together.
The delivery/commissioning took place during August 2002, and has considerably increased our customers production. We are currently working with the same customer to help them expand there production facilities.
Bode have secured many orders for the delivery of positional equipment to windmill tower manufacturers in various parts of Europe in year 2002. We continually seek fresh opportunities in this popular sector of alternative power sources.
Bode Company Strives On

Kistler Machines of Bierstetten, Germany and YPH Ltd of Preston, England, announced today that it has completed a transaction with F. Bode & Son, Leek, Staffordshire, England. Both companies have purchased certain assets including goodwill, designs, know how and trade names of the former Bode company, a manufacturer of welding positioning equipment.
The announcement was made jointly by Alex Kistler, CEO of Kistler Maschinen und Anlagenbau GmbH and Alan Thornton, Managing Director of YPH Welding Supplies. The acquisition will compliment Kislter/YPH's portfolio of machinery.
The new company will trade under the name of F. Bode & Sons Ltd, and uses the Bode trade mark, known worldwide as a prestigious brand.
Worldwide sales, service and hire operations for the acquired Bode products and the complete line of Bode Positioners, including the patented Self Aligning Rotators, and specialised Seam Welders will be held from the YPH Ltd headquarters in Preston, Lancashire. All manufacturing will be incorporated into Kistler's purpose made factory in Germany.
